MP Police SI Recruitment 2016: The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) has issued an official notification regarding recruitment of sub inspectors in the Madhya Pradesh Police Department. The MPPEB has invited online applications from both male and female candidates who are interested in serving in the Madhya Pradesh Police Department.
MP Police SI is a state-level exam which is organized every year to choose eligible candidates for various posts of subedar, sub inspector and platoon commander. MP Police SI Recruitment 2016: Eligibility Criteria
As per MPPEB, there are certain rules for candidates looking to apply for MP Police SI recruitment exam such as age limit, qualification etc. So, it is important for the candidates to look after these details before applying for the post.
Age Limit
A candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 28 years of age as on the 1st of January,2016. However, there is certain relaxation in the age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories and government employees,
- SC/ST/OBC: There is a relaxation in age limit for up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC category i.e 18-33 years.
- Government Employees: The maximum age for any permanent or non-permanent government employee should not be more than 36 years of age.

Physical Measurements
In order to get recruited at the MP Police department, you need to be fit and healthy. A candidate is expected to have minimum physical measurements to qualify for the MPSI exam.
For male candidates:
Height: 167.5 cm and more
Chest: 81 cm/86 cm expanded
For Female candidates:
Height: 152.4 cm or more
Educational Qualification
The candidate must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university or its equivalent. But, the qualification varies a little for special posts which we will elaborate on in the table below.

MP Police SI Recruitment 2016: Selection Process
Once the candidate is eligible for applying online, he can fill the online application. After this, the candidate has to undergo a selection procedure which comprises of three stages i.e. written exam, physical efficiency test and interview.
Stage I: Written Exam
MPSI recruitment involves the candidates to undergo a written examination for both technical and non-technical posts. The exam pattern for the written paper has been given in the table below:

- For the post ASI Radio, ASI(QD/Fingerprint) and ASI Ordinance Police, it is compulsory for the candidates to take the exam for all the subjects such as Hindi/English, GK, Chemistry, Physics and Math.
Stage II: Physical Efficiency Test
To check the physical proficiency of the candidates, the exam board organizes events like an 800m race, long jump and ball throw.
800m RACE: This event involves an 800 metres race wherein the candidates are given only one chance to compete.

Stage III: Personal Interview
