SSC Junior Engineer: Tips to Crack Paper I in 14 Days

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2016

The SSC JE Exam Pattern comprises a written examination containing two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Candidates appearing for Paper-I will have to appear for Computer Based Test (CBT). However, the Paper-II will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode (Written Examination). SSC has discontinued the process of Interview from SSC JE Exam Pattern 2016.

SSC JE Exam Pattern for Paper I

The Paper I of SSC JE 2016 consists of objective type questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The mode of examination will be computer based test. The total time duration of the paper is 2 hours.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. In General Engineering, candidates can choose any one of the options of Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. Only those candidates who are able to qualify Paper I will be eligible to appear for Paper II.

SSC JE Study Plan for General Engineering (Concerned Subject)

Technical knowledge is the major portion of the SSC JE Examination, 50% of the Questions are based on Technical Knowledge as per the trade (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical).
