SSC CPO Tier 1 Overall Exam Analysis (1-7 July 2017): Over the past few days, SSC CPO exam was being conducted in multiple shifts and a number of candidates submitted their queries online regarding the difficulty level of the paper. Yesterday, the Staff Selection Commission completed the journey of SSC CPO Tier I process.

Before we start digging into the total paper review, we would like to mention the exam structure of SSC CPO Recruitment paper. There were 50 questions each based on General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness, summing to a total of 200 questions.

If we look into all 7 days of the examination, we can see that the overall level of difficulty was same i.e. Moderate. The Written Examination for SSC CPO Tier I was of moderate difficulty level, with a mix of easy to competitive challenging questions.

Since the exam was a bit moderate, only candidates with a keen eye and good practice were able to solve the paper in the best way possible. Let us dig deeper and understand more facts about the Tier 1 Examination with section-wise exam analysis.

SSC CPO Tier 1 Overall Exam Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude

The Staff Selection Commission kept the common trend in almost the shifts of exam activity. Quant section contained 50 questions in total.

DI, Mensuration & Percentages topics dominated the paper. The other popular ones were based on SI/ CI, Speed Time Distance & Average. Overall, the difficulty level of this section in all the slots was Moderate. 

A total number of safest attempts in Maths section will be in 30-32 range with accuracy.

SSC CPO Tier 1 Overall Exam Analysis: General Intelligence

The board mixed the questions from this section to check the hypothetical thinking of the candidates. In the Phase-I examination, General Intelligence section contained 50 questions in total.

Candidates found it extremely scoring and the most simple one. Overall, the difficulty level of this section in all the slots was Easy. 

A total number of safest attempts in General Intelligence section will be in 40-43 range with accuracy.

SSC CPO Tier 1 Overall Exam Analysis: English Langauge

The level of difficulty of this section in all the shifts was Moderate. The topic-wise breakdown is as follows:

Talking about the General Awareness Section, the difficulty level of this section was Easy-Moderate. The bulk part of SSC CPO General Awareness Section was covered by the static knowledge topics. Any candidate who was in touch with the news stories also attempted well in this section. Prominent topics were:

A total number of safest attempts in General Awareness section will be in 40-45 range with accuracy.

  1. Sir what is expected cutt off for cpo .I have done 144 out of I doubted in 10-15 question .will I be in cutt off or not ?
