The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the official notification for SSC CPO 2016 Exam yesterday. SSC will be conducting and recruiting candidates who crack SSC CPO Exam.

SSC CPO Recruitment 2016

There are a number of SSC Exams conducted every year. SSC CPO is conducted for recruiting specific candidates for a number of posts. The recruitment process has been simplified.

A candidate can apply for the following posts under SSC CPO Exam:

  1. Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police
  2. Sub-Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)
  3. Assistant Sub-Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

SSC CPO Recruitment 2016: Height Requirement

In order to crack SSC CPO Exam, you need clear both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Papers. Both Exams will be of objective pattern and will be conducted on the following dates.

SSC CPO 2016 (Paper I) 20 March 2016
 SSC CPO 2016 (Paper II)  5 June 2016

The Selection will be based on performance in written exam. For recruitment of SI and ASI in Delhi Police, No Interviews will be conducted.

      The Physical Test will be conducted in the following manner.

      Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test(PET) ( For all posts)

      For male candidates only
      a) 100 meters race in 16 seconds
      b) 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
      c) Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances
      d) High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances
      e) Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

      For female candidates only
      a) 100 metres race in 18 seconds
      b) 800 metres race in 4 minutes
      c) Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.
      d) High Jump : 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances.

    • Medical standard (For all posts)

      Eye sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

    • Written Examination (Date of Examination 20-03-2016 for Paper-I)
      PAPER-I
      Part A General Intelligence and Reasoning- 50 Questions 50 Marks Two Hours 8
      Part B General Knowledge and General Awareness – 50 Questions 50 Marks
      Part C Quantitative Aptitude- 50 Questions 50 Marks
      Part D English Comprehension- 50 Questions 50 Marks
      Duration: 2 Hours

      PAPER-II (Date of Examination 05-06-2016)
      Subject
      English language & Comprehension- 200 marks/200 questions Two Hours (10.00AM to 12.00 Noon
      Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts A, B and C of Paper I.
      Deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each incorrect answer marked on OMR Answer Sheet.

    • You are eligible to apply but the Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.
      Accordingly, unless such Degrees had been recognized for the period when the candidates acquired the relevant qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.

    • Medical standard (For all posts)

      Eye sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

    • Syllabus for General Awareness will include Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc.

    • The age limit for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF is 20-25 years.

    • If you are able to complete your degree by 01-01-2016, then you can apply.
      Else, you are not eligible for SSC CPO 2016.

  1. I HAVE DISTANT VISION ABOUT 6/18 BOTH EYE AM I ELIGIBLE THOUGH I ALREADY SUBMITTED THE FORM THE DATE OF EXAM IS 20/03/16 SHOUL I ATTEND THE EXAM OR NOT ?

  2. Sri I had cleared ssc cpo (si and ASI) paper 1 and pet/PST but I have asthma they will qualify me in medical are disqualifies me plz tell me sir
