SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017 (8 August): The third day of SSC Combined Graduate Level Tier 1 examination received an overwhelming amount of candidates. The said exam lasted for 60 Minutes and the students are now coming out of their respective exam centers.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: 8 August

We will initiate our article introducing the exam structure of SSC CGL paper. SSC CGL Tier I Examination consisted of Objective Tests for 200 marks. All sections consisted of 25 Questions each. There was a 0.5 negative marking for every wrong attempt. The total time to solve the entire paper was 60 minutes.

Section-Wise SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017

As explained above, there were 4 sections in SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I). The overall difficulty level was Moderate, with the majority of questions asked were a bit of a task to solve. But, there were a few easy ones too. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: Quantitative Aptitude

A large part of the paper was from Data Interpretation. Questions were also asked from topics like S.I, CI, Profit/Loss and Percentage. Any candidate with a good grasp on the subject could have scored well in the section. Overall, the difficulty level of Maths section was moderate.

The questions based on Arithmetic were easy to solve but the level of Geometry and Trigonometry based questions ranged from Moderate to ChallengingCandidates having a good arithmetic knowledge and practice can attempt 17-19 questions easily.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: English Language

Moving to the English Section, the difficulty level was Moderate, just like Quant Section. A number of Vocabulary based questions were asked. Grammar also took a major portion of the paper.  The topic wise distribution is as follows:

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: General Intelligence/ Reasoning Aptitude

The Reasoning section contained 25 questions in total. The board asked the questions from this section to check the hypothetical thinking of the candidates. Candidates who appeared for Exam describe the difficulty level of Reasoning Section to be in the range of easy to moderate level. 

A major chunk of Reasoning was from Series & Miscellaneous. Questions were also asked from topics like Odd one out, Blood relations etc.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2017: General Awareness

The bulk part of General Awareness Section was covered by the History & General Science topics. Any candidate who was in touch with the news stories (Current Affairs) also attempted well in this section. Candidates who appeared for Exam describe the difficulty level of GK Section to be moderate.

A total number of safest attempts in General Awareness section will be in 16-18 range with accuracy.
