How to get selected for the post of IRDA Jr Officer ?
The Selection Process of IRDA Junior Officer Recruitment 2016 is completed in 3 Phases.
- Phase I: Objective Test (Qualifying in Nature)
- Phase II: Descriptive Test
- Phase III: Interview of Shortlisted Candidates
We will first talk about detailed syllabus and exam pattern of IRDA Jr Officer Phase 1 Exam. Since a candidate need to qualify this exam first, it is an essential piece of information.

The IRDA Jr Officer Phase 1 Examination will be held on 27 February 2016. This examination will be conducted online and is only qualifying in nature.
To clarify, this means the marks secured in IRDA Junior Officer Exam (Prelims) will not be considered while preparing the final merit list. These marks will only be considered while promoting candidates to Phase 2 Exam of IRDA Jr Officer.
IRDA Jr Officer Phase 1 Exam Pattern
IRDA Jr. Officer Preliminary Exam will be an online examination of objective pattern. The exam is equally divided in 4 sections, which are, Reasoning, English, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude.

The total time allotted for the written examination is 100 minutes. Hence, you need to work on both speed and accuracy while solving the paper.
Marking Scheme: Similar to most recruitment exams, there will be negative marking for incorrect answers. The following method has been adopted by IRDA Prelims Exam.
- For right answer, 1 mark will be added to total score.
- For wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted from total score.
- Total Time for IRDA Prelims 2016 is 100 minutes
Keep in mind that sectional cut off marks might be considered. Hence, try to avoid the guessing game.

The candidate who qualify in IRDA JO Phase I Exam, will be called for the next examination, which is, IRDA Junior Officer Phase II Examination.
IRDA Junior Officer Phase 2 Exam
The pattern of IRDA JO Exam Phase 2 will be descriptive. The marks secured in IRDA Phase 2 Exam will be considered while creating the final merit list. The selected candidates will be called for the final round, which is, an interview with the selection panel.
IRDA Jr Officer Phase 2 Exam Pattern
Phase II Exam of IRDA Junior Officer is quite long. There will be 2 separate sets of sessions for the entire examination.
- Morning Session: Paper I and Paper II (180 minutes)
- Afternoon Session: Paper III (90 minutes)
