CTET Study Plan 2016 for Classes I to V: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) and this year the date has been set for 18th September 2016. This exam is mandatory to apply for teaching jobs in government schools.

As this exam is for class 1 to 5 teachers, it seems that it is going to be an elementary level exam which any graduate can answer, but in reality, it is a very difficult exam. Language I and II

These exams focus on the proficiency of the medium of learning. It involves the elements of learning, communication skills and comprehension.

  • The candidate must be thorough with both the languages they have chosen out of the list of possible options.

  • Solve mock tests and previous year’s question papers. You will get to know the pattern of the question paper and the nature of questions asked.

Mathematics

  • Don’t keep it for the end. Always keep practicing it along with other subjects, as mathematics is a subject that requires constant practice.

Environmental Studies

  • Keep revising and solve as many mock tests as per your capability.
  • Analyze your overall performance in terms of efficiency and time taken.
  • Pay more attention to syllabus prescribed in NCERT but expect questions of secondary level in the exam.

 

Preparation Tips for CTET 2016

Apart from the mentioned CTET study plan, you need to keep a few things in mind while preparing for any government exam. In order to boost your overall performance, here are some tips and tricks that you need to incorporate along with your CTET study plan to increase your chances to succeed.

  1. Organize your study material and manage your time by making a time-table and sticking to it for specific subjects.
  2. Always play with your strength and solve that part of the paper that you are most comfortable with.
  3. Make it a habit of reading, analyzing and then attempting the questions.
  4. You have to practice to increase your speed as well as accuracy as there are 150 questions that you have to solve for which you get only 90 minutes. You have only 36 seconds per question in which you have to read analyze and attempt.
  5. Solve mock tests and previous year’s question papers and check your performance.
  6. Focus on pedagogy as it is an integral part which is embedded in almost all subjects with 50 percent of the total weightage.
  7. Make notes of whatever you think is important so that later on during revision you don’t have to go through the whole thing.
  8. Don’t take up new topics in the end as they will confuse you instead of helping.
