CTET Exam Analysis, Cutoff 2016: The CTET 2016 Paper 1 exam was conducted successfully by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CTET exam was held on 18 September 2016 at various centers across the country.

CTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2016

Candidates who intend to become a teacher for Class I to V (Primary Stage) must give the CTET paper 1 exam. All questions in this exam are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking. The Structure and Content for CTET exam is given below:

The level of difficulty for CTET paper 1 was Easy to Moderate. Now, let’s shift our focus to section-wise analysis for paper 1.

 

Section-Wise CTET Exam Analysis for Paper 1

As explained above, there were 5 sections in CTET Paper 1. The overall level of difficulty was Easy to Moderate, with the majority of questions asked being a bit of a task to solve. But, there were a few easy ones too.

Most candidates found this Section Moderate in terms of level of difficulty. Maximum questions were asked from the following sections

  • Child Development (Primary School Child) 15 Questions
  • Concept of Inclusive education- 5 Questions
  • Learning and Pedagogy- 10 Questions

CTET Exam Analysis: English Language

The English language section was Moderate in nature. The distribution of questions was as follows:

  • Reading comprehension- 9 questions
  • Reading poem- 6 questions
  • Pedagogy questions- 15 questions

CTET Exam Analysis: Hindi Language  

The Hindi language section was Easy to Moderate in difficulty level. Maximum number of questions were from the following topics:

  • Reading comprehension- 10 questions
  • Reading poem- 5 to 10 questions
  • Pedagogy questions-15 questions

CTET Exam Analysis: Mathematics

 Most candidates found this Section Moderate in terms of level of difficulty. The distribution of questions was as follows:

  • Geometry- 3 to 5 questions
  • Algebra- 3 to 4 questions
  • Number System- 4 to 6 questions
  • Pedagogy questions- 12 to 15 questions

CTET Exam Analysis: Environmental Studies  

The Environmental Studies section was Easy to Moderate in difficulty level. Maximum number of questions were from the following topics:

  • Environment basics- 5 to 7 questions
  • Water & Food- 4 questions
  • Family & Friends- 3 questions
  • Travels- 2 questions
  • Pedagogy questions-12 to 15  questions

This was our sectional analysis. Based on our analysis, we can say that candidates can easily score 85-90 marks in CTET Paper 1. 

 

CTET Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2016

Candidates who intend to become a teacher for Class VI to VIII (Elementary Stage) must give the CTET paper 2 exam. All questions in this exam are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking. The Structure and Content for CTET exam is given below:
