UPSC CDS 1 Final Result 2016: Today, the Union Public Service Commission released the list of candidates who have been selected for Combined Defence Services 2016. This is the final merit list of all the selected candidates for various defence institutes like The Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Indian Air Force (IAF) Academy.

UPSC CDS 1 Final Result 2016: Check Merit List

UPSC CDS 1 Final Results have been declared on the official website. The following merit list provided by UPSC for CDS 1 Examination consists of 126 candidates who have been qualified on the basis of the performances in both written examination in CDS 1 Examination and SSC Interview.

UPSC CDS 2016: Rank-Wise Pay Scale

(for Army, Air Force and Navy Officers)

During the training period in the respective defence academies, a fixed stipend of Rs. 21000/- per month is compensated. After you complete your training from OTA, you get commissioned by the Indian Defence Administration as a Lieutenant. The same rank is commissioned in case your training has been carried out at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). The general Pay Banks for similar ranking officers in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force are as follows.

CDS Career Retirement Pension Plan

With great perks and responsibilities, comes bigger commitments.

An officer must fulfill a minimum of 20 years in service in order to reap the benefits. Retiring pension shall be calculated at 50% of the average of emoluments reckoned for pension ( i.e. pay, rank pay and non practising allowance, if any ) drawn by the officer during the last 10 months of his service or 50% of last pay drawn whichever is more beneficial. The retiring pension in no case shall be less than  3,500/- per month.
